The premiere performance of the “Helmcamp” Concerto took place on Saturday, May 12, 2024 at Don Smith Performing Arts Center in Cleburne, with the CHS Wind Symphony performing under the direction of Jason Jones, with guest artists Candy Bawcombe, piano, James Sims, trumpet, and Craig McKennon, trumpet. Approximately 250 audience members were in attendance, and $13,964 was raised for the Helmcamp Memorial Scholarship Fund during the month of May in conjunction with the concert.
